Finished in 2007 - still on slow-release - Braman's second album begins to put some meat on the bones of the style, the ukulele joining forces with beatbox, bass, layered harmonies, funk-flamenco guitar, trumpet, mbira, mandolin, even sousaphone. The eco-political stance remain unflinching - nowhere more so than in The Weather, a rainforest meets southern-rap meets sunny rock-and-roll ditty about climate change.
All songs written by Jon Braman, with an all-star cast of guest players and producers including Tim Bright, Miche Fambro, Arthur Lewis, Brendan McCourt (Politicks), Shockwave (Freestyle Love Supreme), Cary Clarke (At Dusk), Ethan Chessin (March Fourth) Chris Andersen, Greg Borenstein, Malik Starx (Roll-wit-us Allstars), Ally Way, Nima Gonvalu, and Lisette Braman.

The first record of ukulele hip hop recorded in Portland in a few hours in the living room of my buddies Ethan, Cary and Greg, on the edge of 2004. I just sat in a chair and played the songs while Greg and Cary tried to figure out why my ukulele buzzed so much (I found it in the garbage)... I think Meri was there too and slept through half of the session while I played! Anyway, this is it, raw ukulele folk hip hop, up close, personal, and freewheelin, so to speak.
